Slow and steady wins the race when introducing retinols because you don’t want to over power you skin with this strong exfoliant. Sun sensitivity can occur as well making sunscreen a non negotiable when using retinol. Waxing and other deeper exfoliation methods should be avoided during this time as well.

In the treatment room I love alternating between using lactic acid or the retnoid scrub and pairing it with my enzymes to add moisture in the skin for my client using retinol.
