How To Use High Frequency Wand For Acne and Hyperpigmentation

High Frequency

Acne prone or oil skin can benefit from frequent use of high frequency 3x a week for at least 10 minutes. It will balance oil control and kill bacteria on the skin so you can say good bye to acne and hello to clear skin.

The one that I use in the studio has argon and neon wands I can interchange to focus more on acne or hyperpigmentation.

Neon is the orange light radiating from the wand and argon is the violet/purple light

Either one can be used to target different skin cancers. Neon (orange) is best for boosting collagen, treating fine lines and wrinkles while argon(violet/blue)  is best for inflammation, acne and killing bacteria.

In the treatment room I like to use it after extractions to calm down inflammation and for those antibacterial benefits. High frequency is frequently used in my acne skin revamp program that I offer. It typically takes about 10-12 sessions (1 month) to see results so I also tell my clients to use this at home for super fast skin benefits.

To use this wand at home for acne use the argon gas for 10 minutes 3 times a week. Ideally after your exfoliating days. Before touching the wand to your face make sure its at the lowest setting and as you progress with using the tool at home you can make the current stronger. This should be every month or so. This shouldn’t hurt but instead be a tingling sensation that can be reduced by placing an esthetic wipe or surgical net on the wand.

Use a little bit of space in between the wand and the face to create that ozone layer and for maximum benefit.

The same will apply for those looking for anti-aging benefits but with neon (orange) wand.

This is one of my favorite tools to use in the treatment room and one of the first tools I made sure to collect when I opened my business for its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial benefits.
